With the rotors in the upright position, they land like a helicopter.
Actually, that's the only way they
can land, as when they
have the rotors for forward flight like an airplane the propellers are
too big to land - they'd hit the runway.

One of the reason why you do not want to get too close to the air show
safety box if you have a tall boat. Most of the folks on the boat have no
idea they are about to get buzzed by a jet. Hope they have earplugs.
